Students of The Mountain View Primary School with the President of LAHM Jamaica, Mrs. Mable Wood
Several students at this school are provided with lunches, back to school supplies, optical care and other medical care. Some of these children have lost either one or both parents to gun violence and illness. In addition lunch subsidies are provided for other children who are in need at the school.
Golden Age Home Project
Quarterly visits are made to the Golden Age Home in Vineyard Town, where quality time is spent with the residents. We also make periodic contributions of toiletries, food and clothing.
St. Johns Road Nurturing Club
In 2006 LAHM established a nurturing club in Spanish Town specifically for the children of the inner city community of St Johns Lane training them to become productive citizens. We meet with these children once per month at the St Johns Primary School with gifts of school supplies, food and clothing.
Counseling Services
Free Counseling services are provided to assist persons with various social problems.
Fund Raising
Love and Hope Ministries hosts an annual fund raising banquet during December in Jamaica. The banquet not only aims at raising financial support and public awareness of the group's mission, but also provides an opportunity for members, friends and well wishers to enjoy an evening of elegance and fun.
Other Activities
LAHM also provides assistance and support in time of bereavement; weekly grocery baskets are given to widows and orphans and others in our community who are in need of assistance.
